https://veninnjournal.com/index.php/veninnjournal/article/view/1

The increasing unsustainability of traditional "take, make, dispose" business models necessitates innovative frameworks that minimize waste and optimize resource use. This issue is particularly relevant for emerging ventures striving to align with global sustainability goals while maintaining competitiveness. Circular economy models offer a promising approach by emphasizing resource efficiency and waste reduction through strategies such as closed-loop systems, modular product design, and recycling initiatives.

This study explores how emerging ventures can adopt circular economy principles to enhance environmental impact and operational efficiency. Using a qualitative research approach, the study analyzes data from semi-structured interviews with founders and sustainability officers, along with company reports. The findings reveal that circular strategies not only reduce waste but also provide long-term economic benefits, including increased customer loyalty and operational resilience. However, challenges such as high implementation costs and supply chain limitations persist, requiring supportive policies and strategic partnerships.

This study contributes to the literature by offering a framework for integrating circular economy principles into sustainable business models for emerging ventures. It highlights the potential of circular strategies to drive sustainable innovation, improve environmental performance, and enhance operational efficiency, providing valuable insights for both practitioners and policymakers.
Daimah, Maulina

https://veninnjournal.com/index.php/veninnjournal/article/view/2

Limited access to resources, education, and financial opportunities often confines underserved communities to cycles of poverty, highlighting the need for innovative strategies to promote economic resilience and self-sufficiency. Empowering these communities through entrepreneurship has emerged as a promising approach to address these systemic challenges. Entrepreneurial initiatives offer pathways for economic empowerment by fostering self-reliance and creating sustainable income opportunities.
This study aims to examine the impact of entrepreneurial programs on underserved communities, with a specific focus on the interplay between financial support, social networks, and educational resources in enhancing entrepreneurial success. A qualitative research approach is employed, combining semi-structured interviews with community entrepreneurs and program managers, along with document analysis of program reports and outcomes.
The findings reveal that financial support, when coupled with strong social networks and comprehensive skills training, significantly enhances the sustainability and growth potential of entrepreneurial ventures in underserved areas. Additionally, these initiatives empower community members by improving access to essential resources and building social capital. However, the study identifies key barriers, such as high-interest loan rates and inadequate digital infrastructure, which hinder the scalability and impact of these programs.
These results emphasize the importance of a holistic approach that integrates financial aid with mentorship, social capital development, and educational training to create effective and sustainable community empowerment. This study contributes to the growing body of research on social entrepreneurship by offering insights into designing impactful interventions for underserved communities.
Mohamad Maulana Ridzki, Adelia Azzahra

https://veninnjournal.com/index.php/veninnjournal/article/view/3

The global healthcare landscape is undergoing rapid transformation due to advancements in technology and innovative delivery models. With increasing challenges in healthcare access, affordability, and quality, particularly in underserved areas, healthcare innovations such as telemedicine, artificial intelligence (AI), and mobile health (mHealth) have emerged as critical tools for improving healthcare outcomes. This study aims to explore the collective impact of these innovations on healthcare accessibility, quality, and patient engagement. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was gathered through quantitative surveys (n=250) and qualitative interviews (n=30) with healthcare providers, technology developers, and patients across diverse regions.
Findings reveal that telemedicine enhances accessibility, with 78% of surveyed patients in remote areas reporting improved access to healthcare services. AI was found to improve diagnostic accuracy, with providers reporting a 25% reduction in diagnostic errors when AI tools were integrated into workflows. Additionally, mHealth applications increased patient engagement, with 65% of chronic disease patients using mHealth tools reporting better adherence to treatment plans. However, barriers such as high implementation costs (cited by 62% of providers), privacy concerns (noted by 55% of participants), and infrastructure limitations in rural areas remain significant challenges.
These insights underscore the importance of comprehensive policies and cross-sector collaborations to support sustainable and inclusive healthcare innovation. Strengthening infrastructure and addressing privacy concerns are critical steps to maximize the benefits of these technologies for underserved populations.
Komarudin, Lutfiah

https://veninnjournal.com/index.php/veninnjournal/article/view/4

Digital transformation is profoundly reshaping the startup ecosystem, enabling enhanced scalability, efficiency, and competitiveness. Startups face increasing pressure to adapt to rapidly evolving digital landscapes to remain competitive, particularly in industries where automation, data analytics, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems are driving innovation. Despite the potential benefits, many startups encounter barriers such as high costs, limited digital expertise, and concerns about data security.
This study aims to investigate the impact of digital transformation on startup growth, with a specific focus on revenue generation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews. Data were collected from 150 startup founders and managers across diverse industries, including technology, retail, and healthcare, to ensure comprehensive insights into the digital transformation process.
The findings reveal that startups adopting digital tools report an average revenue growth of 35% within the first year of implementation. Operational efficiency improves by 40%, primarily due to automation and data-driven decision-making, while customer satisfaction scores increase by 25%, driven by enhanced engagement through CRM systems. However, significant challenges persist, including high initial investment costs (cited by 65% of respondents), limited access to skilled digital professionals (reported by 58%), and data security concerns (highlighted by 50%).
These results highlight the transformative potential of digital tools in driving startup success while emphasizing the need for supportive policies, training programs, and accessible funding mechanisms to address barriers. This study provides actionable insights for startups and policymakers to leverage digital transformation as a pathway to sustainable growth and competitiveness.
Sukma Hendrian, Rudi Ferdiansah
